I woke up this morning on my own at 7am. You have no idea how much that annoys me. Being the first one up in our house means you're the lucky asshole that gets to let the dogs out. Now, I must say, it's much easier now at the new house, because we have an area fenced off for them to go. Which means I'm no longer taken for a walk by Chase before I've washed my face or actually gotten to the bathroom to pee. But it still means that I go straight from a warm, comfy bed, to the freezing cold in a matter of seconds. I'm also lucky enough to feed and water all of them. It's joyous, especially on a Saturday morning.
Once all the dog tending was out of the way though, I went out onto our front porch wrapped in my thick, comfy, warm robe with some hot chocolate. I love it out there. I could hear the crows squawking to each other and the creek across the road flowing. This morning however, I was also greeted by two doe and some squirrels and chipmunks. I absolutely love being in the country.
Expect lots of nature photos in the future, because I don't think I'll ever grow tired of the scenery or seeing the wildlife outside of my door.
